In team meetings, I like to start by asking each person to share a professional and personal win since our last meeting. Why do I include the personal win? For a couple reasons. First, I don’t want people to get the impression that work is the only thing that matters. Second, when the team gets involved in cheering each person on, it’s inspiring and meaningful! Like Coach K said, “A shared confidence is better than a confidence only in yourself.”
We have many goals for the Christian Young Professionals and one of them is for it to be a place where we’re interested to share and hear each other’s professional and personal victories. As we get to know one another, we become invested in each other’s stories and success.
